Seattle Children’s is looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Consultant to drive Lean thinking and operational excellence across the organization.
Role OverviewLeverage Continuous Improvement methodology based on the Toyota Production System (Lean) to improve processes and achieve business outcomes. Act as a CI advocate, coach leaders, and facilitate improvement activities within the existing system.
Responsibilities- Consult and educate on CI and Lean concepts
- Facilitate CI improvement activities
- Develop leaders’ Lean thinking to support strategic objectives
- Coach leaders to build robust systems that enable daily improvement by staff and management
- Plan and accomplish improvement goals while collaborating within Children’s operating structure
- BA/BS degree
- 5–7 years of facilitation or leadership experience with groups, training teams, or consulting; equivalent education and experience acceptable
- 3 years experience with Toyota Production System (TPS) or equivalent production system;
Lean/Six Sigma, Quality Improvement, or related certifications preferred - Demonstrated implementation of complex and strategic improvement initiatives at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to develop Lean skills in others through coaching, education, and training
- Experience coaching and leading Lean improvement in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Consulting experience with Executive Leaders
- Experience with simulation and data modeling
- MA/MS degree in Health Administration or equivalent program
- Management/leadership experience
- Lean certifications:
Accelerated / Rapid Improvement Workshop, Value Stream Mapping, A3 (evidence-based problem solving) - Change Management certifications such as Pro Sci
$ – $ per year (based on 2080 hours worked). Offers are determined by factors including equity, skills, and experience.
