Business Analyst, Operations Manager
Summary
The Production Planner II will be responsible for managing short‑term production plans and long‑term capacity assessment across all value‑added plants for Trident Seafoods’ domestic business.
Essential Functions- Develop production plans over a rolling 3‑month horizon to deliver superior customer service while managing inventory levels.
- Review Capacity to Demand ratio over a rolling 12‑month horizon to drive plant efficiency while delivering inventory goals.
- Schedule and lead weekly cross‑functional production planning and S&OE meetings.
- Own Production planning metrics:
Schedule Adherence and Capacity Utilization. - Collaborate with plants weekly to ensure we optimize schedules based on customer/SKU priorities, RM availability and safety stock goals.
- Proactively review future risk (to service or utilization) and communicate with Commercial and Operational leads.
- Schedule and participate in monthly RCCP meetings – clearly communicate utilization and inventory build over the horizon.
- Propose stepwise improvements to existing processes.
- Call out and propose solutions when identifying MRP discrepancies.
- Modify existing analytics tools within Excel as needed.
- Propose improvements to analytics tools within IBP.
- Work with plants to create and maintain a master list of production line capacities.
- Monitor and report out plant schedule adherence (PSA).
- Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $90,000 to $115,000.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or mathematics required.
- 3‑6 years of experience in a CPG industry in the areas of production planning, material planning and S&OP.
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Management preferred; APICS or Six Sigma certification in lieu of MBA.
- Experience working in Supply Planning tools (SAP/Oracle, etc.) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Must enjoy and be proficient in working with numbers and mining for insights.
- Excellent Excel skills required:
Power‑pivot skills a plus.
This is an on‑site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. In‑office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
Work Ability RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
