Technician Avionics Integration II - Glenn

Blue Origin is developing the New Glenn launch vehicle and needs technicians to assemble, repair, and evaluate electrical and mechanical assemblies for spaceflight systems.

• Assemble, repair, and evaluate flight‑grade avionics components.
• Conduct hardware testing on New Glenn avionics LRU’s and perform acceptance testing on flight avionics.
• Build and re‑work test equipment harnesses and test systems.
• Remove off‑the‑shelf equipment from test assemblies for calibration.
• Build a variety of components and assemblies, quickly shifting focus from project to project.
• Assist with new designs by vetting processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Provide feedback on assemblies to improve or update designs.
• Serve internal and external customers across multiple systems and platforms.

• Experience with ESD process, controls, and certification.
• Strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced team.
• Proficiency with electronics tools, soldering, wire harness manufacturing/repair, electronic test equipment, and basic fabrication shop equipment.
• At least 3 years of experience in aerospace avionics or related fields.
• Basic hand tool experience (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, crimpers).
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written instructions, and test procedures.
• Willingness to work any shift as needed to support activities.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Availability for 40‑hour weeks with occasional overtime to support launch schedules.
• Comfortable working in an aerospace production environment.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships.

• 5+ years of proven ability in testing and processing.
• Certification in IPC standards for assembly and inspection (IPC
  620 preferred).
• J‑STD soldering certification.
• Experience collaborating with software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and JIRA.

1st Shift: Monday‑Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Washington applicants: $29.91–$41.87 per hour. Other site ranges may differ.
