We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team as a Temporary Production Worker II in our Aerospace division. The ideal candidate for this role will have 1 year of sheet metal production/manufacturing experience, strong cleanliness and organizational skills and excellent technical and problem-solving skills that include calculating correct cut dimensions, minimizing scrap/waste.
Please Note:
This is a temporary role and it will end when the needs of the business change. The current opening is for 2nd or 3rd shift only.
Purpose:
Performs manufacturing operations to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.
Responsibilities:
Installing rivets in previously countersunk holes and affixing with tape.
Ability to read and have a understanding of work order operations.
Independently clean and deburr parts.
Assemble and label boxes.
Ability to accurately count finished work pieces.
Selects appropriate deburring medium such as files, sponges and sandpaper.
Correctly uses deburring mediums such as files, sponges and sandpaper.
Mentoring of co-workers.
Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Have a basic mechanical aptitude.
1 year production experience preferred.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit up to 8 hours with standard rest-periods.
Ability to perform work assignments requiring repetitive motions.
Ability to work schedule as assigned.
