Job OverviewWe're looking for a Sheet Metal Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Seattle. In this role, you'll operate sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce quality parts used in a variety of manufacturing projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with sheet metal experience who enjoys working with fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and being part of a collaborative production team.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, and related machinery
- Load and unload materials safely
- Set up machines using blueprints, work instructions, and CNC programs
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools
- Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work with production teams to keep jobs moving on schedule
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of sheet metal fabrication experience or related technical training
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
- Ability to operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including laser cutters and press brakes
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
