Description
As a Content Strategist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we consistently tell our stories, and drive customer engagement with compelling content. Reporting to the Head of Content Strategy, you will develop and execute targeted, comprehensive content plans that deliver personalized experiences throughout the customer journey in AWS demand campaigns and events.
Key job responsibilities- Develop and execute overarching content strategies aligned with AWS goals and target audiences
- Conduct thorough audience and content audits to inform strategy
- Create and manage content calendars and information architecture
- Oversee content creation across various formats (blogs, infographics, videos, etc.)
- Optimize content for SEO and multi-platform distribution
- Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, peer marketing teams, subject matter experts, etc.) to drive alignment across execution touchpoints.
- Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all content
- Determine optimal content formats based on persona to drive engagement, lead generation, and brand loyalty
- Continuously test, measure, and refine content strategy performance to drive continuous improvement
- Elevate AWS's content strategy to strengthen brand voice and audience engagement
- Ensure seamless execution of strategic direction and superior storytelling across all content pieces
- Drive measurable results in terms of influencing lead generation, solution adoption, and customer loyalty
- Establish AWS as a thought leader through compelling, high‑quality content
- Own the end‑to‑end content creation process, from ideation to publication
- Guide content creators and designers in producing various content formats
- Identify trends, content gaps, and audience preferences
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to develop and study KPIs
- Work with peer teams to ensure SEO optimization and user‑friendly formats
- Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes affecting content marketing
- Manage relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and influencers
The newly formed Content Strategy team is a globally distributed team that supports the development of global campaign and content strategy within the Integrated Demand Center.
Basic Qualifications- 4+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience managing or working within cross‑functional marketing and creative teams
- Experience in multi‑territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
- Experience equally comfortable building strategic marketing plans and executing at a tactical level
- Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience with paid media and owned and operated channels (i.e. email, onsite, etc.)
