Buy Wander is rebuilding the $850B retail returns industry from the ground up. We turn returned goods into opportunities through AI-powered local auctions, redefining the returns experience.

We’re hiring our first Head of Marketing. This role allows you to build a brand from zero, own growth across all channels, and define a new category.

• Brand:
  Define and evolve voice, story, positioning; turn returns into a compelling narrative; build a brand people talk about.
• Growth:
  Own customer acquisition across paid, organic, partnerships, local; build a data-driven growth engine; obsess over CAC, LTV, conversion, retention.
• Demand Generation:
  Drive traffic & participation in auctions; create local market playbooks; launch bold, creative campaigns that convert.
• Experimentation:
  Run constant tests across channels, messaging, audiences; operate like a marketing lab with fast cycles and learnings; break conventional playbooks to find asymmetric wins.
• AI-Powered Marketing:
  Leverage AI tools to 10x output and insight; automate workflows, content generation, analysis; build systems where AI + human creativity gives advantage.
• Systems & Scale:
  Build marketing engine tools, dashboards, attribution; create feedback loops between data, insight, action; eventually build and lead a high-performance team.

Unlike typical Head of Marketing positions that inherit teams and optimize existing channels, you will build the entire growth engine from scratch, blending data, creativity, AI, and equity upside.

• Comfort operating in ambiguity with speed and ownership.

• Experience in marketplaces, auctions, resale, or eCommerce.
• Built or scaled growth engines from 0 to 1.
• Deep performance marketing & creative testing expertise.
• Strong POV on the future of AI in marketing.
