DLR Group is an integrated design firm that seeks to elevate the human experience through design. We invite you to join our marketing team as a Proposal Specialist supporting our Workplace, Hospitality, and Mixed‑Use sectors.
Position SummaryThe Proposal Specialist develops tailored content to support project pursuits. Responsibilities include writing project narratives, bios, resumes, project plates, and other unique content. With experience, the role will manage individual project pursuits and ensure on‑time, brand‑standard compliant deliverables from RFP receipt to interview completion.
What You Will Do- Manage individual pursuits to on‑time, compliant delivery with some oversight.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary pursuit team to write and produce content in the DLR Group brand voice and style.
- Support the company’s shortlist and win rate goals with quality execution.
- Record discovered project and people information in the firm database (Vision) to ensure institutional knowledge.
- Champion DLR Group as a best‑in‑class brand by completing comprehensive quality control checks on materials.
- Collaborate with pursuit teams to develop and maintain an up‑to‑date library of on‑brand pursuit materials, including resumes, project plates, and boilerplate information.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience creating, writing, and editing proposals in a professional services environment, preferably the AEC industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) and Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint and Teams). Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without needing a work visa or residency sponsorship.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to craft deliverables that comply with RFP requirements while creatively expressing the DLR Group brand.
- Critical thinking skills to quickly evaluate needs and recommend responsive solutions.
- Experience leading or supporting a pursuit process to win work with private clients, including Fortune 500 companies, major hotel brands, and commercial real estate developers.

CompensationPay Range: $55,000 – $75,000 USD (location, experience, and skills considered).
