Contract Role | $35–$43/hour | Local + Optional Travel Shoots

Role Overview

Work Play is looking for talented creators to join our certified creator team.

Scope of Work

Creators who can confidently capture one or more of the following:

  • Brand Photography – Capture clean, elevated, brand‑aligned imagery for founders, teams, websites, launches, lifestyle campaigns, and social media.
  • Brand Videography – Capture polished brand footage, founder b‑roll, speaker reels, launch assets, course content, and high‑quality marketing videos.
  • Event Videography – Capture live events, speaking moments, panels, audience reactions, behind‑the‑scenes moments, and fast‑moving brand experiences.
  • Organic iPhone Content Creation – Capture natural, social‑first content that feels native to Instagram, Tik Tok, Reels, Stories, and behind‑the‑scenes campaigns.

Creators with equipment such as Canon, Sony, DJI Osmo, or similar cameras are preferred, but not required.

Key Terms

Pay: $35–$43/hour for paid shoot time

Role Type:
Independent contractor / supplemental freelance work

Availability:
At least 4 open days per month preferred

Job Location:

Major cities across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe

Travel:
Optional travel shoot opportunities may be available

Responsibilities
  • Capture clean, elevated, brand‑aligned content.
  • Follow creative direction and shot lists.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and the Work Play team.
  • Guide clients confidently during shoots.
  • Stay organized and responsive.
  • Upload content on time through the Work Play platform.
  • Represent the Work Play standard on every shoot.
What Work Play Certified Creators Do Not Have to Do
  • Find the client.
  • Sell the client.
  • Plan the full shoot from the ground up.
  • Create the campaign strategy alone.
  • Manage the full client relationship.
  • Sort final selects.
  • Edit the final gallery.
  • Handle full post‑production.
  • Chase the client for payment.
  • Manage scattered communication across texts, emails, and DMs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong creative eye.
  • Ability to follow direction.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to create content that aligns with the Work Play standard.
Certification Process

Before taking on paid Work Play shoots, creators must complete the Work Play certification process: application, interview, skills test, and shadow shoots.
