** The Foundation
** We are the largest nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity around the world. Founded on a simple premise: people everywhere, regardless of identity or circumstances, should have the chance to live healthy, productive lives. We believe our employees should reflect the rich diversity of the global populations we aim to serve. We provide an exceptional benefits package to employees and their families which include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with no premiums, generous paid time off, paid family leave, foundation-paid retirement contribution, regional holidays, and opportunities to engage in several employee communities.
As a workplace, we’re committed to creating an environment for you to thrive both personally and professionally.
** The Team
** The Communications Division, led by the Chief Communications Officer, oversees the foundation’s global communications strategy. The division brings together internal and external communications to advance the foundation’s mission to create a more equitable world.
The Campaign Planning & Channels Management team brings the foundation’s mission to life through compelling storytelling, events, and integrated campaigns that build trust in the foundation’s reputation and inspire more people to care about and support our mission. This team leads the foundation’s flagship external communications platforms, including the website: gates foundation.org, newsletter:

As an ACO on this team, you’ll be supporting the development of social media content across these channels in alignment with our social media strategy.
This could include: writing creative and content briefs and cross-channel promotion plans. The ideal candidate has experience working across multiple campaign strategies at the same time and the flexibility to assist on a variety of new projects and priorities. You also have a general interest in developing content for online audiences.
** What You’ll Do
*** Support platform-specific social media strategies that ladder up to broader social, channels, and communications strategies.
* Manage the day-to-day implementation of priority foundation social media channels, including working closely with producers and agencies to develop content, writing and/or reviewing captions, and in some cases having a hand in creative production directly.

* Coordinate with cross-divisional content, brand, channels, and audience engagement teams in the development, revision, and/or refinement of brand strategies.
* Collaborate with agencies/contractors to develop and review social media content, ensuring clear and timely feedback.
* Stay up to date with platform trends, high-performing formats, and cultural moments to reach and engage our audience.
* Monitor and engage with comments, questions, and mentions across the foundation’s social channels to foster meaningful two-way conversations that build an understanding of the foundation’s work and trust.
* Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
** Your Experience
*** A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience, preferably in communications, journalism, literature, public relations or political science.
