Overview
Location: Seattle, WA (in-person at events required; remote editing acceptable)
Type: Paid, ongoing — contract or part-time Reports to: Sanjeet Singh, Co-Founder
Young Professionals Nexus is Seattle's premier networking institution for ambitious young professionals across tech, finance, law, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. YPN is application-based, curated, and built on recurring membership — not a meetup, not an event company. The mission is to make YPN the only professional network anyone in Seattle thinks about, and to build the blueprint other cities will follow.
This role exists because YPN's growth now depends on consistent, high-quality content distribution — not occasional posts. We are hiring someone who treats content as infrastructure, not an afterthought.
The RoleYPN is looking for a paid content creator and digital strategist to own daily content production and distribution across Instagram, Linked In, and Tik Tok. This is not a one-off photographer or a caption writer. This is the person responsible for making sure Seattle sees YPN everywhere, every day, in a way that signals institutional credibility — never promotional, never generic.
You will work directly with Sanjeet and the YPN team, attend events to capture real material, and convert that material into a daily content engine.
Responsibilities- Produce and publish a minimum of two posts per day across YPN s active platforms (Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok), with platform-specific formatting and tone
- Attend YPN events (mixers, the Boat Party, Building in Seattle, Founders & Investors Evening, White Soirée, etc.) to capture photo and video content in real time
- Translate raw event footage into a content calendar that builds momentum between events, not just during them
- Maintain YPN s editorial voice: declarative, builder-identity, never promotional — documentation, not advertising
- Apply YPN s visual identity consistently: black canvas, gold accent, Cormorant Garamond and Montserrat typography, no stock graphics, no gradients
- Distinguish content strategy by platform — Linked In for institutional credibility and personal brand amplification (Sanjeet's profile and the YPN page), Instagram for visual proof of the room, Tik Tok for reach and culture-building
- Track performance by platform and report what is converting attention into membership interest, not just engagement
- Coordinate with Zaylan (Co-Founder, design) and Evan/Sandpiper Video (photography and video partner) to keep visual standards aligned
- Identify content opportunities independently — member spotlights, behind-the-build moments, event recaps, founder stories — without waiting to be assigned every post
- Content is not decoration. It is the asset that makes Seattle believe YPN is already the dominant network, before the numbers fully prove it
- A premium brand documents its build — it does not advertise its existence
- Each platform has a different job:
Linked In builds institutional and personal credibility, Instagram proves the room is real, Tik Tok builds reach and cultural relevance - Consistency beats intensity — two posts a day, every day, compounds faster than occasional high-effort pushes
- Distribution strategy matters as much as the content itself — when and where something posts changes whether it gets seen
- Demonstrated experience managing content across Instagram, Linked In, and Tik Tok for a brand, founder, or organization
- Strong photo and video editing ability (mobile-first workflows acceptable; Cap Cut, Premiere, Lightroom, or equivalent)
- Ability to write platform-native copy that matches an established brand voice without being told word-for-word what to say
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, founder-led environments with same-day turnaround expectations
- Available to attend YPN events in Seattle, including evenings and occasional weekends
- A portfolio or examples of prior content work is required
- Experience with membership-based, community, or hospitality brands (Soho House, Hampton, YPO-style organizations, premium events, or similar)
- Understanding of personal brand strategy — how founder content amplifies organizational content
- Basic familiarity with paid social (Meta ads) is a plus, not required
Paid role, structured as ongoing contract or part-time. Compensation to be discussed based on experience and scope — structured around deliverables (minimum two posts/day) plus event coverage.
How to Apply- Send a portfolio or links to prior content work, along with a short note on how you would approach building daily content for a premium, application-based community brand, to .
