Abbott Construction is seeking a talented Proposal Coordinator to help bring projects and people to life through compelling proposals and marketing materials. Excellence is part of our DNA, and we are looking for a candidate who will contribute to high-quality design and content in proposals.

Responsibilities- Promote MKTG 360o Services
- Actively learn about Abbott’s portfolio, services, and market needs through reading past proposals, training opportunities, discussions with peers, BD partners, etc.
- Provide marketing support to key initiatives through creation of deliverables focused on technical capabilities and benefits.
- Coordinate development of non-proposal materials such as brochures and presentations, ensuring consistency of message and adherence to established quality and brand standards across all deliverables.
- Apply knowledge of Abbott’s overall service offerings including strategic initiatives.
- Lead and support pursuit teams to advance our positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with clients. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of pursuits: team coordination, messaging, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics and teaming partners, editing, quality reviews, compliance, brand adherence, and efficient and timely production.
- Contribute to content development for proposals and other collateral pieces under the direction of others.
- Support action planning and progress tracking.
- Conduct research to identify best Abbott qualifications (experience matrix, project descriptions, resumes, etc.) and competitor information.
- Respond to requests for information and client research assistance.
- Help to create and maintain well-organized, accessible, up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits. This work includes writing, researching, and editing.
- Proposal breakdown and unpacking: resume and project description updates to Cosential; unique or new content shared broadly through Adobe Creative Cloud or boilerplate library.
- Develop proficiency creating proposals as well as other sales and marketing deliverables, under supervision or clearly defined processes.
- Gain a reputation for consistently high customer service.
- Review best practices and products and adopt ideas into BD support and proposal efforts.
- Seek input, identify development opportunities, and leverage resources.
- Understand and support compliance with Abbott’s capture planning.
- Experience gained in applied knowledge of the industry.
- Applied knowledge of AEC sales and marketing techniques.
- Increased ability to create and contribute to content of deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively with BD and pursuit teams.
- Bachelor s Degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business or a related field or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing. AEC industry experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability. Experience coaching others in interviews/presentations preferred.
- Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint).
The full salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.
