About the Role
The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing plans that drive engagement, advocacy, and demand for company products and services. This leader will be part of the Construction Industries Services Division (CISD), building the services development, marketing, and sales execution capabilities needed to accelerate services growth for Caterpillar.
Responsibilities- Collaborates cross‑functionally and develops comprehensive brand positionings, messaging, creative and program executions that prioritize customer acquisition, retention, and growth, putting the customer at the center of all communication touchpoints.
- Develops and leads a team; and fosters a high‑performance/highly engaged culture.
- Leverages continuous analysis of the marketplace and customer trends; provides insight, recommendations, and strategies based on insight.
- Creates and manages the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation; and continuously optimizes marketing efforts to drive improved business results.
- Prepares periodic business reviews and market assessments to influence decision making, track results, and improve business performance.
- Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Champions, models and directs an organization's commitment to externally focused decision-making tied to customer business needs and satisfaction.
- Provides customer focused vision, strategy and leadership that exceeds customer expectations.
- Persuasively articulates the link between customer focus and enhanced business success to stakeholders.
- Teaches others to foster customer relationships based on mutual understanding, respect, trust and 'business partnering'.
- Develops 'best practices' to create, evaluate and enhance customer loyalty that are sought by others within and outside the organization.
- Consults with senior executives regarding critical success factors and details to being a customer focused organization.
- Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.
- Coaches others on legal, regulatory, and financial issues across multiple countries.
- Participates in developing current and planned infrastructure for conducting global business.
- Advises on the application of global policies to regional and local operations.
- Compares and contrasts opportunities and challenges for countries within a region.
- Oversees current projects using experience with conducting business in several countries.
- Coordinates country‑specific legal and financial compliance reviews.
- Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business situations.
- Maintains balance between innovation and pragmatism.
