Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to creating enriching experiences in the arts, engaging diverse communities, and stewarding Seattle's iconic theatres and performance spaces. As the largest nonprofit performing arts presenter in the Pacific Northwest, STG welcomes more than one million people each year through a mix of Broadway productions, concerts, comedy, dance, speakers, and community events across our venues.

Beyond our stages, STG is committed to expanding access to the arts through robust Education & Community Engagement (ECE) programs that include classes, workshops, artist residencies, youth programs, and community partnerships. Guided by our vision that STG is the people's theatre where all are welcomed and represented, we continually work to remove barriers to participation and ensure the arts are accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the communities we serve.

The Education & Community Engagement Marketing Coordinator works collaboratively across STG's Marketing & Communications (Mar Com) and Education & Community Engagement (ECE) teams to develop and execute marketing strategies that promote STG's year-round education and community programming. These include workshops, camps, performances, artist residencies, and special events at Kerry Hall, other STG venues, schools, and community locations throughout the region.

The ideal candidate is a creative, organized marketing professional with experience managing integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on digital channels, creating engaging digital content, growing and managing social media communities, placing advertising and media buys, and successfully overseeing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This role plays a vital part in connecting participants, families, educators, and community partners with meaningful arts experiences while amplifying STG's mission, deepening community engagement, and expanding access to the performing arts.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines. This position earns between $27.08 and $37.91 per hour, with a midpoint of $32.49 /hour, plus Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, STD, and Life insurance benefits as well as paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave and 403(b) with a discretionary match.

  • Partner daily with the Education & Community Engagement (ECE) team to prioritize marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring equity, accessibility, and audience engagement are central to all efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications to develop, execute, and manage integrated marketing and communications plans, including timelines, deliverables, media placements, and promotional assets.
  • Develop compelling content for social media, email, blogs, web, and other storytelling channels that highlight the impact of ECE programs and advances STG's nonprofit mission.
  • Manage marketing projects from concept through completion, including coordinating design requests, routing materials for review and approval, and trafficking creative assets and advertising.
  • Partner with ECE and Mar Com staff to write, edit, and coordinate newsletters, annual reports, event materials, brochures, and other print and digital publications.
  • Manage ECE's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, and other platforms by:

    • Gathering photos, videos, participant stories, and other content from programs and events.
    • Creating and publishing engaging content that aligns with STG's brand and communications strategy.
    • Monitoring channels, responding to messages and comments, and fostering community engagement.
    • Collaborating with Social Media Manager to ensure consistency across organizational channels.
  • Coordinate direct mail campaigns with external vendors and email marketing campaigns with Digital Communications Manager, including content development, audience segmentation, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate photography and videography projects by working with ECE staff, creative vendors, and Mar Com colleagues to capture and promote program impact.
  • Work with Sr. Communications Manager to coordinate program announcements, media alerts, and other communications.
  • Partner with the Data Specialist to develop and maintain audience lists, ensuring accurate segmentation and reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on registrations, campaign performance, and other marketing metrics to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Stay informed on emerging marketing trends, digital platforms, and communications best practices, making recommendations to improve processes, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
