Job Description

As a Project Manager within the Marketing PMO, you will focus on the execution of marketing programs and campaigns, supporting Program Managers and Senior Project Managers, and independently managing the delivery of multiple medium‑level projects on time and within scope.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning:
    Help outline forecasted marketing work to aid in planning efforts, assist Program or Senior Project Managers with campaign planning as requested.
  • Project Lifecycle Management:
    Champion the processes and workflow to ensure consistency while flexing when required, guide executional projects for various channel deliverables once strategy and creative direction is determined, take lead from execution kick‑off to delivery, ensure project requirements/scoping are aligned with priority and workflow, create comprehensive project schedules, capture milestone dates and timelines, facilitate approvals, resolve deliverables that might fall behind, communicate status, approvals, risk and updates, schedule and facilitate project‑related meetings, work with suppliers to ensure deliverable delivery, ensure proper project closure and archive procedures.
  • Project Execution & Ownership:
    Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including single‑channel initiatives and larger, multi‑channel marketing campaigns, demonstrating adaptability across scopes, take full ownership, drive projects forward with minimal oversight, maintain focus and resourcefulness to keep projects on track.
  • Project Management System Coordination:
    Orchestrate all assigned book‑of‑work activities and documentation within PMO technology systems like Workfront, certify centralized housing of project requirements, schedules, documentation and approvals, manage data entry, leverage reporting, suggest system enhancements, contribute to PMO‑wide process standardization.
  • Business Knowledge:
    Understand the overall JWN business, Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack customer and assigned area of business, stay aware of business goals and performance, possess knowledge of target customer segmentation and business results.
  • Cross‑Program Agility:
    Operate as a versatile PMO execution resource, support multiple programs, demonstrate willingness and ability to take on work across multiple programs, build cross‑program knowledge, contribute to shared playbooks and standardized processes.
  • AI & Tool Fluency:
    Adopt emerging tools and AI capabilities to improve execution speed, quality and consistency, explore AI‑assisted tools for status communication, documentation drafting, risk flagging, identify automation opportunities, partner with PMO operations to implement improvements.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of project management experience in marketing, advertising, design or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing deliverables across in‑store/VM, digital, social, media, video, broadcast and print channels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles and process methodologies: predictive, agile and hybrid.
  • Strong willingness to learn and roll up sleeves in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills, ability to manage multiple projects and changing deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly articulate status, risks and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate co‑workers and inspire a one‑team approach, give and receive feedback with a positive intention.
  • Intuitive problem solver with anticipation and action‑planning ability.
  • Unwavering can‑do attitude in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Savvy and genuine negotiation skills.
  • Curiosity‑driven mindset, passion for asking “why” and continuous improvement.

  • Preferred 4–6 years of project management experience in marketing, advertising or design, degree in Business Administration, Advertising, Marketing, Mass Communication or equivalent experience.
