Paid Media Manager

Seattle, WA

In 1897 C.C. Filson began outfitting prospectors headed for the Gold Rush with tools and apparel strong enough for the toughest spots on earth. More than 100 years later, Filson remains committed to providing pioneers of all fields around the world with unfailing goods made from the highest quality materials available. Filson recognizes that it takes a world-class team to make a world-class product.

As we build on the Filson legacy of American craftsmanship, we are looking for individuals who share our dedication to innovation, excellence, and superior customer service. We don't work in silos but rely on open collaboration. It's a jackknife mentality – the ability to accomplish more than what's asked of you – that defines our culture of versatility and perseverance.

Our outfitter mindset is deliberate and strategic. We are a small company, on purpose. We're the ones doing the work, from product design and marketing, to cutting, sewing, and restoration. With more than 125 years under our belt, we still have a start-up mentality. Driven by an independent spirit and an uncompromising attitude that demands we lead with conviction.

As the Paid Media Manager, you will own and drive business growth through paid media channels, partnering closely with the Director of Marketing to shape and execute a strategic, full-funnel media approach. This role combines agency management, cross-functional collaboration, media strategy, data analysis, seasonal planning, and creative thinking.

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will work cross-functionally with Creative, Merchandising, Social Media, Ecommerce, and Retail to develop and execute cohesive paid media campaigns across both online and offline channels. The ideal candidate brings deep full-funnel experience, strong knowledge of the evolving paid media landscape, and the ability to identify opportunities that continuously improve Filson's media strategy and drive measurable business results.

You will serve as the primary point of accountability for Filson's media agency relationship, partnering closely with agency teams to monitor daily performance, identify insights and opportunities, and drive optimization across channels, audiences, and creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and external agency to define and own the Performance Marketing agenda, establishing and driving accountability to business-level and channel-level targets, including ROAS, CAC, and CPP.
  • Develop and execute full-funnel paid media strategies that maximize media investment and drive growth across the customer journey.
  • Monitor and optimize channel performance in partnership with the media agency across Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic, and other emerging channels.
  • Proactively identify new channels, placements, audiences, creative opportunities, and testing strategies to improve media efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead Filson's Out-of-Home (OOH) media strategy and manage the process from planning and execution through measurement and optimization.
  • Partner with external agencies to develop and execute test-and-learn programs, building scalable roadmaps that improve campaign performance and return on investment.
  • Partner with the digital creative agency to develop and execute creative briefs, ensuring the appropriate volume and mix of video and static assets are available at the right frequency to maintain campaign effectiveness.
  • Own the paid media agency relationship, including weekly agendas, KPI accountability, performance monitoring, and insight generation in partnership with agency teams.
  • Translate media performance and data into clear, actionable insights and communicate key takeaways to the Director of Marketing and Leadership Team.
  • Own the Post Action Report process and ensure campaign learnings are incorporated into future seasonal planning and media strategies.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and external agency to build and activate first-party audiences and support incrementality testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Merchandising, Social Media, Ecommerce, and Retail to ensure paid media…
