About The Role
The SEO / SEM Specialist drives qualified organic and paid search traffic by improving technical SEO, building search-focused content strategies, and managing performance campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
The role connects search visibility to measurable business outcomes, using GA4, Google Search Console, and conversion data to improve rankings, reduce acquisition costs, and increase qualified leads or revenue. The position is hybrid in Seattle and partners closely with content, product marketing, web, and analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute SEO strategies covering technical audits, keyword research, internal linking, structured data, and on-page optimization
- Manage paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including account structure, keyword targeting, ad copy, bidding, budgets, and negative keywords
- Use GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and related tools to track rankings, traffic quality, conversion rates, and channel efficiency
- Audit websites with tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or Semrush and translate findings into prioritized technical and content recommendations
- Build and optimize landing pages, metadata, title tags, schema markup, and search-focused content briefs in partnership with writers and web teams
- Run structured tests on ad creative, landing pages, keyword groups, and bidding strategies to improve CTR, conversion rate, CPA, and pipeline contribution
- Produce recurring performance reports and communicate search insights, risks, and recommendations to marketing and cross-functional stakeholders
- 1-3 years of hands-on SEO and SEM experience in a technology, agency, or high-growth marketing environment
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, GA4, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz
- Experience conducting technical SEO audits, keyword research, competitive analysis, on-page optimization, and content performance analysis
- Ability to manage paid search budgets, monitor campaign pacing, and optimize toward qualified conversions rather than traffic volume alone
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets, dashboards, UTM governance, and marketing attribution concepts
- Clear written communication and the ability to turn technical search data into practical recommendations for non-specialist partners
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
Bonus: experience with SQL, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, schema markup, JavaScript-rendered sites, B2B SaaS, or international SEO
