Job Title: Annual Fund Officer
Salary Range: $68,000 - $72,000
FLSA Status: Salary, Non‑Exempt
Location: Administration - King County
About The Position: The Annual Fund Officer is responsible for strategy, creation, implementation, and fundraising goals related to the Annual Fund. This role also uses data to drive and support all individual giving strategies, oversees annual giving—including direct mail, digital fundraising, and donor acquisition campaigns—and manages internal fundraising operations such as prospect research, donor CRM management, and gift processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead, develop, and implement the Annual Fund fundraising plan.
- Implement targeted donor campaigns, including digital and direct mail appeals, special giving days, and acquisition.
- Serve as primary liaison to Annual Fund contract vendors.
- Meet or exceed Annual Fund fundraising goals annually.
- Analyze data regarding annual giving programs and past giving trends to inform future segmentation, engagement, and overall strategy.
- Improve donor retention and re‑engage lapsed donors.
- Manage monthly giving program, increasing enrollment and renewals.
- Act as the first point of contact for inquiries from entry‑level to mid‑level financial supporters.
- Oversee accuracy and reporting for gift processing, including acknowledgement letters and donor receipts.
- Research and analyze donor trends to recommend strategic improvements.
- Write donor correspondence and solicitation materials.
- Collaborate with Philanthropy and Marketing & Communications to develop cohesive messaging across all campaign collateral.
- Coordinate donor recognition activities, campaign records management, and gift processing.
- Evaluate ROI for each giving program and recommend strategy adjustments.
- Assist with special events and meetings, especially those involving Annual Fund donors.
- Oversee use and policy of the Philanthropy Department CRM (Donor Perfect Online).
- Lead prospect research and collaborate on data‑driven donor cultivation strategies.
- Partner with the major gift team to define donor engagement strategy and annual campaign goals.
- Facilitate data requests for the philanthropy department and other internal work groups.
- Create and analyze regular reports of annual giving progress toward revenue goals, including metrics of donor base analysis, segmentation, and ROI.
- Serve as project manager for the CRM system and ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain and update CRM procedures and policies in collaboration with the database analyst.
- Maintain confidentiality of partner information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or demonstrated success in fundraising.
- Minimum 3 years of fundraising and CRM experience, with at least 1 year of staff and/or volunteer/ intern management.
- Understanding of advancement services and prospect research best practices.
- Knowledge of fundraising and the non‑profit sector.
- Adherence to the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) Code of Ethical Principles and Standards.
- Editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with data queries and manipulation.
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Donor Perfect.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Typing speed of 50 WPM.
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
- Valid WA driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
