This recruitment aims to fill a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) with an anticipated end date of up to three (3) years. King County employees who has successfully completed their initial probation, they will be offered the role as a Special Duty Assignment.
Join King County's team that provides funding for community-driven projects to protect water quality, control pollution, and build healthy communities in King County. Project types can include installing rain gardens or other Green Stormwater Infrastructure, restoration, community engagement and education, water quality monitoring, research, and pollution prevention. Funding is awarded to non-profits, tribes, cities, schools, and special purpose districts. The Water Works Program Coordinator position will support the administration, evaluation and reporting of these efforts and allow for successful community-driven projects that help our communities and the environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to combine your passion for community engagement in local clean water activities with your strengths in organization, administrative support, analytic thinking, and systems and data management. The Program Coordinator position provides grant administration services, including coordination of systems and procedures for the management and disbursement of grants, and works with internal staff and external partners.
About The TeamThe Water Works Program Coordinator works alongside the Water Works Program Manager and one other Program Coordinator to support the Waterworks Grants Program. This position is part of the Education and Engagement Unit of WTD, which strives to engage underserved communities and address the needs of these communities that they identify for themselves. We do this in support of the Division's mission to protect water quality, public health and the environment.

- Organize and review grant proposals for completeness and consistency with criteria. Communicate with applicants to obtain additional information as needed
- Develop grant program documentation, including reports and briefing documents. Utilize the grant management database and spreadsheets to conduct analysis and create reports for reviewers. Assist with planning, facilitating, and documenting committee review processes
- Assist with grantee reports and payment request processing, review, compliance, tracking, and financial reconciliation
- Assist with outreach and training events, including planning, logistics, organizing materials and presenting information in coordination with Grant Manager. Assist with logistics and production of materials for Grant Ranking Committee meetings. Prepare and update materials for applicants and grant recipients such as forms and guidance documents
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of grant program operations, outputs, and outcomes. Develop and administer surveys and feedback mechanisms to get input from stakeholders.
