GET PAID $200 TO PERFORM!!!
Youth in THE WRITE TO BREATHE SUMMER YOUTH THEATER create and perform original plays that focus on issues relevant to African American youth.
Past plays have focused on teen pregnancy, gang violence, police brutality/Black Lives Matter, and the Civil Rights Movement.
We've also done comedies, fairy tales, and mysteries.
STUDENTS CHOOSE WHAT THE PLAY IS ABOUT.
I also work with African communities, giving these youth the opportunity to share their unique stories and educate the community on their history and culture.
