Volunteer : Companion Visitor & Phone Friend

We are seeking a warm and dependable volunteer to provide companionship to an older adult living independently in downtown Seattle. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys conversation, animals, and meaningful one‑to‑one connection.

• Alert and fully oriented
• Able to clearly express needs and preferences
• Soft‑spoken with no communication barriers
• Enjoys:
• Animals (has two cats)
• Music of all types
• Friendly conversation and social connection

• Provide in‑person companionship or serve as a phone friend
• Engage in conversation, share music interests, or simply provide friendly presence
• Help reduce isolation through regular, consistent connection
• Coordination is done directly with the participant

• Comfortable around cats
• Good listener and reliable communicator
• No gender preference
• Flexible scheduling (weekly or bi‑weekly welcomed)
