Position: 26-27 Pierce CD Outreach and Education Coordinator

26-27 Pierce CD Outreach and Education Coordinator

This is an Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Pierce Conservation District is a government that works! We support healthy farms, fish, food, and forests. We do all this with the help of friends (aka volunteers). PCD relies heavily on community volunteers to do habitat restoration and water quality improvement projects.

Volunteer work parties are a key strategy for us. They also help us deliver education about stormwater, native and invasive plants, soil health, and improving habitats. The member will help support our efforts in community and K–12 education and enhance our outreach and volunteer events. They will work across multiple programs and join a dynamic group of environmental stewardship professionals.

This position is a good fit for someone who is energized by the opportunity to interact with many different ages of people. It is also a good opportunity to experience several different career pathways in environmental stewardship. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in late May. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
