North Seattle College is looking to hire a Food Pantry Coordinator (Program Specialist
3) for our Student Support Services Department.
Full salary range for this position is $61,512 - $80,820 (DOE)
OverviewUnder the supervision of the Director of the Wellness Center, the Food Pantry Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the North Star Student Food Pantry program at North Seattle College.
This position supervises student workers (work‑study and hourly) and possibly community volunteers.
This position works 100% of the time on‑site and is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with adjusted hours to accommodate at least one evening per week to support an evening pop‑up food pantry. The schedule may vary depending on department needs. It may be required to work evenings and weekends as needed to support department needs.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on- Coordinates all activities of the Student Food Pantry and provides support and participation in a weekly community pop‑up food pantry.
- Plans all operations and purchases for the Student Food Pantry.
- Supervises student workers and approves their time worked in ctcLink.
- Receives and tracks all food and supply deliveries; will select and pickup food from suppliers as needed.
- Develops and monitors new food donation opportunities.
- Maintains food pantry relationships with food and fiscal donors, including the Seattle Colleges Foundation.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Food Recovery Network grant compliance and reporting.
- Gathers, tracks, and reports client data using Pantry Soft and ctcLink.
- Maintains all program records and data.
- Maintains food pantry inventory in Pantry Soft.
- Ensures all food safety procedures are implemented and maintained as well as addresses all Health Department compliance inquiries/concerns.
- Hires, schedules, and coordinates students and community members who staff the food pantry.
- Tracks all donations—monetary and product-based—provided to the food pantry.
- Submits monthly progress reports as well as quarterly and annual reports about the food pantry.
- Works collaboratively with college and district staff to seek new food pantry funding opportunities.
- Regularly collaborates with key stakeholders within and beyond North Seattle College.
- Participates in both long‑ and short‑term planning and development.
- Participates in relevant staff and professional development meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Associate's degree in Business or related field or 2 years equivalent experience
- 2 years' experience managing and supervising a food pantry is preferred.
