This is an Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Thurston County Food Bank (TCFB) is committed to eliminating hunger in our community through neighbor‑helping‑neighbor service. TCFB serves more than 71,000 community members annually through pantries, satellite and mobile programs, home delivery, and partnerships with regional agencies. Ameri Corps members play a critical role in expanding access to nutritious food while supporting dignity, equity, and community resilience.
The member plays a key role in advancing our mission by supporting food pantry services to food bank clients, working directly with clients, volunteers, and staff on food distribution days, making a tangible impact in the community. The member will build strong organizational and professional skills, with hands‑on experience and opportunities to work across multiple facilities. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in mid‑late July.
Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
The Pantry Operations Support Member will strengthen TCFB’s service to clients. They will receive, rotate, sort, pack, restock, and distribute food from weekly shipments; support client intake; assist with farm stand operations; use equipment such as pallet jacks and stackers, and occasional off‑site deliveries while working independently or with staff and volunteers to meet daily service needs.
