Meals Partnership Coalition (MPC) provides a regular food distribution service to our 56 member organizations, as well as funding and technical support. Our members strive to create nutritionally dense, culturally uplifting ready-to-eat food for communities facing food insecurity in King County. Our members collectively produce between 4.5 to 5 millions meals annually, the majority of which are served to people experiencing homelessness.
MPC sources food and supplies to offset the costs of our member operations, and also administers public funding to our members who are based in the City of Seattle. By providing food donations, direct funding and capacity support like food safety training, MPC seeks to provide support to meal providers that do not receive any assistance from the State or Federal government.
The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive, multi‑media communications guide to help current and future MPC staff message the value of coalition work to the community.

The Communications Coordinator VISTA will be responsible for developing a comprehensive communications plan which will allow MPC to more effectively message our services to the community, including both community members facing food insecurity and prospective donors and supporters. They will research and review current materials at MPC and create a plan, develop templates for outreach, and strengthen systems for data collection.
All this will increase the reach of MPC and will make it easier for future staff to implement regular and timely messaging to the community.
