ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provide support and assistance to the Senior Program Coordinator for all aspects of the Senior Program including general activity set-up and event coordination, activities participation and enhanced programming.
- Create a welcoming and inviting environment for program participants, track attendance and check-in.
- Develop a minimum of 8 new partnerships with organizations and other resources in King County for new programming and workshops. Work with Senior Program Coordinator to develop an updated monthly calendar of programming for posting and distribution starting January 2020.
- Coordinate with Senior Program Coordinator and outside trainers to ensure all monthly workshops are delivered effectively. Measure and record workshop results through surveys and participation.
- Provide culturally sensitive and linguistically relevant information and referrals to participants
- Assist the Senior Program Coordinator to engage and supervise volunteers to support the Senior Program activities. Track volunteer hours on a weekly basis and accurately enter data into the Salesforce database.
- Assist the Senior Program Coordinator to complete all required reports including narrative reports, invoices, schedules of activities and programs, participant reports and reports of results of activities to be approved Emergency Services Manager, meeting all deadlines.
- Meet weekly with the Emergency Services Manager and Senior Program Coordinator to discuss work performance, program goals, weekly updates and other important topics.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associates degree and at least 3 years of work experience.
- Experience working with seniors and older adults, preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish both written and oral fluency.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively.
