Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Gynecological Surgical Unit in Seattle, Washington.

As an RN in this specialized unit, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing gynecological surgeries, including preoperative and postoperative care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care and support patients through their surgical experience.

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to women undergoing gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other related procedures.
• Perform detailed patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in patients' conditions, responding quickly to any signs of complications.
• Prepare patients for surgery, provide postoperative care, and monitor recovery, ensuring pain management, wound care, and patient comfort.
• Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery processes, and self-care practices, providing support and guidance throughout their hospital stay.
• Work closely with gynecologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including pain relief and antibiotics, according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Accurately document patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive surgical experience.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred;
  Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in surgical or gynecological nursing preferred.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and specialty certifications (e.g., CNOR) are preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), and a commitment to patient-centered care.
