Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a Physician Assistant - Certified or Nurse Practitioner to join our general Gastroenterology team.

You’ll be part of a collegial team environment with superb support staff and easy access to primary care and specialists. Virginia Mason patients benefit from a world-class, state-of-the-art endoscopy unit in a new hospital pavilion in addition to a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of experts committed to caring for patients with complex disorders. This position will be based in Downtown Seattle with the potential to also practice out of one of our regional medical centers based on business needs.

Position highlights

  • Established and highly reputable Gastroenterology and Hepatology team with a strong and independent APP group.

Compensation range of $150,200 - $181,900 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Common Spirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Common Spirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law

Job Requirements

Nurse Practitioner

  • Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License are required for this job.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority.
  • Advanced background in nursing; an understanding of anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology; and strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
  • Certification by specialty area as well as work experience in specialty area may be required, depending on the position.

Physician Assistant - Certified

  • This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
