Schedule & Shift

Full Time (36 Hour Week), Night Shift, 12 Hour Shifts

Hiring Bonus

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment.

Accountable for delivering coordinated, safe, compassionate, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, addressing individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.

Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards. The job’s key functions and specific skills are found in the unit‑specific onboarding checklist and applicable standards for the specialty.

Responsibilities
  • Employs Nursing Professional Practice:
    Assesses, identifies appropriate nursing diagnoses, plans, implements and evaluates patients’ care, updates and coordinates the patient’s plan of care to achieve goals and optimize outcomes.
  • Advocates:
    Effectively advocates for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those served.
  • Facilitates Learning:
    Fosters a learning environment for patient/families, nursing, and other members, and facilitates formal and informal learning.
  • Aligns Practice with Safety and Quality:
    Accountable for safety, identifies and corrects problems, and integrates evidence, best practice into nursing care; uses data and evidence to improve outcomes.
  • Engages in Professional Development:
    Continues professional development; practices the top license within the legal parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and specialty standards.
  • Leads in the Practice Setting & Community:
    Leads and coordinates teams, delegates appropriately, collaborates with others as part of inter‑professional care team.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification in area of specialty upon hire, unless otherwise indicated.
