In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring that high-quality, patient-centered care is delivered efficiently and effectively. • Provide strong leadership to the nursing staff in the Emergency Department, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a positive work environment.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring that staffing levels, patient flow, and resources are optimized to meet patient care demands.
• Drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes, enhance safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Mentor and support nursing staff, providing opportunities for continued education and professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement development plans.
• Work closely with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, develop treatment protocols, and address any issues that arise in the Emergency Department.
• Ensure that patients receive compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care. Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Oversee the department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high standards of care.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that align with the hospital's goals and ensure consistent and safe patient care.
• Lead the department in emergency preparedness planning, ensuring that staff are trained and equipped to respond to various types of emergencies.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or NEA-BC (Nurse Executive Advanced - Board Certified) is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to handle high-pressure situations; commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
