Post Lung Transplant Registered Nurse – Post Transplant Care – UW Medical Center Montlake
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Post Lung Transplant Registered Nurse to join the Transplant Services team at UW Medical Center – Montlake. The focus is on the duties related to the post‑transplantation phase and will include procurement calls. Management for the designated transplant patient population includes independent patient assessment, triage, education, coordination of medical and nursing care, and documentation of care.
Integral to the role is an understanding of the regulations and data requirements surrounding transplant care issued from the United Network of Organ Sharing and HRSA.
- Responsible for the nursing care and coordination of the post‑lung transplant long‑term patients, plus the surgical (non‑transplant) patient education and surgical prep, as well as multiple clinical procedures on a daily basis.
- Apply the nursing process to systematically assess needs and deliver nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by other nursing staff.
- Two years of professional nursing experience, including clinical nursing expertise in post‑lung transplant patient care.
- Preferred skills in transplant coordination/United Network of Organ Sharing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Full Time, Day shift, Eight or Ten Hour Shifts.
- Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 hourly
- Pay Range Maximum: $83.64 hourly
- Sign‑on bonus: $10,000
- Other compensation: $5.00/hr night shift, $4.00/hr weekend shift, $3.00/hr evening shift, $1.00/hr BSN premium, $1.25/hr Nursing Certification
