UW Medical Center-Montlake - 4S Outpatient Infusion has an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Manager
.
- Full time / 100% FTE
- Primarily day shifts Monday-Friday
4S Outpatient Infusion is the largest infusion floor at the UW Medical Centers, offering 32 beds, specialized procedure recovery services, and infusion therapy for a broad spectrum of patients. This is a great opportunity to lead a dedicated outpatient team that always puts their patients first.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees day-to-day and strategic department operations
- Manages an estimated 25 employees, including Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Nursing Technicians, an Assistant Nurse Manager, and a Patient Services Supervisor
- Works in partnership with the Associate Director of Infusion, the Ambulatory Nursing Director, and the 4S Medical Director
- Develops and assesses employee skills, monitors and manages employee performance, and completes timekeeping responsibilities
- Acts as an expert resource when staff encounter problems or questions
- Takes corrective action when employee performance is not acceptable
- Plans and implements programs to meet targeted patient volumes
- Oversees quality assurance and safety standards
- Works to continually improve the quality of our services
- Ensures that the infusion floor operates in a cost-effective manner
- Orients to procedure recoveries, plasma exchanges, therapeutic phlebotomies, and other clinical practices
- When needed, directly administers infusions to patients
- 2 years of management or supervisory experience at a hospital or a medical center
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- BLS certification
Pay Range Minimum: $ annual
