Job Overview
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high‑risk, high‑volume Labor & Delivery position in Seattle, Washington. The assignment is a 13‑week travel nursing contract beginning 29 June 2026, with 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts). Minimum 3–5 years of high‑acuity L&D experience required, with strong preference for 5 years of high‑risk experience. Must be proficient in Epic EMR and newborn care.

- Start Date:
29 June 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours:
36 hrs/week (3×12‑hour night shifts) - Location:
Seattle, Washington - Shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3×12‑hour
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Floating to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities
- RTO considered on a case‑by‑case basis; minimal RTO preferred
- High‑risk, high‑volume L&D unit with 31 rooms and 4 ORs
- Average daily census: 15 patients, 500–600 deliveries/month
- Patient population: midwifery clients, private OB patients, Adult Recovery Services, community care clinic patients
- Medication:
Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium sulfate (Epic hard‑stop requirement) - Electronic fetal monitoring used;
Epic EMR required
- Active Washington RN license or compact RN license
- BLS, NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate preferred
- 3–5 years L&D experience in high‑acuity setting, 5 years high‑risk strongly preferred
- Ability to circulate in the OR
- Proficient newborn care (eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K, assessments)
- Epic EMR experience
- Electronic fetal monitoring experience
- Minimum 2 supervisory references (1 year within last 3 years)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Active professional license at time of consideration
- First‑time travelers welcome
- Former permanent staff of non‑Swedish Providence facility must have separation ≥ 3 months
- Former Swedish facility permanent staff not eligible
- Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- RTO reviewed individually; excessive requests may impact process
- Clinical review required prior to placement
- Pay based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hrs per week (subject to confirmation)
- Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined
