UW Medical Center – Montlake offers an Assistant Nurse Manager/Registered Nurse position on the Complex Medicine / Orthopedics unit.

• 90% FTE
• Days

Unit 6SE is a 28‑bed acute medical‑surgical unit caring for non‑cardiac medical and orthopedic patients, including bone cancer diagnoses. Patient stays average six days with rapid turnover.

• Perform leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
• Assume staff assignments and preceptor responsibilities.
• Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote quality nursing care, effective problem solving, communication, and professional development.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; applicable experience may substitute for education.
• Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience, and/or leadership experience.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
• Current or recent medical‑surgical nursing experience.

• Pay range: $49.23 – $90.33 per hour.
• Additional premiums:
  • BSN (or higher) Premium – $1.00/hour
  • Certification (specialty certs) Premium – $1.25/hour
  • Weekend Shift Premium – $4.00/hour
• Overtime Pay: $5,000
• Relocation Assistance for eligible new employees.
