Job Description
UW Medical Center – Montlake offers an Assistant Nurse Manager/Registered Nurse position on the Complex Medicine / Orthopedics unit.
Work Schedule- 90% FTE
- Days
Unit 6SE is a 28‑bed acute medical‑surgical unit caring for non‑cardiac medical and orthopedic patients, including bone cancer diagnoses. Patient stays average six days with rapid turnover.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Perform leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
- Assume staff assignments and preceptor responsibilities.
- Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote quality nursing care, effective problem solving, communication, and professional development.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; applicable experience may substitute for education.
- Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience, and/or leadership experience.
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
- Current or recent medical‑surgical nursing experience.
- Pay range: $49.23 – $90.33 per hour.
- Additional premiums:
- BSN (or higher) Premium – $1.00/hour
- Certification (specialty certs) Premium – $1.25/hour
- Weekend Shift Premium – $4.00/hour
- Overtime Pay: $5,000
- Relocation Assistance for eligible new employees.
