RN – Labor and Delivery, Night Shift

• Labor and Delivery: 30 labor beds
• OB ED: 9 beds total
• OB ORs: 4 operating rooms
• Births:
  Approximately 550-600 per month
• Deliveries:
  Starting from 22-23 weeks gestation
• NICU:
  Level 4 with 77 beds
• Teams: MFM team, Midwifery, OB, Family Medicine
• Programs:
  Addiction Recovery, postpartum couplets, Doula, Cultural Navigators
• 24/7 Services:
  Anesthesia, Laborist, Neonatology
• 5 EAST Main L&D Unit: 6 bed OB ED, 14 labor rooms, 2 ORs, Charge RN, Laborist
• 5 South:
  Scheduled C-sections, overflow labor, etc.

• Accountable for ensuring 24‑hour patient care and coordinating delivery of care with the healthcare team.
• Establish and enforce standards of patient care and nursing practice; develop unit‑based quality improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with department standards and reinforce positive outcomes; take corrective action for identified problems.
• Conduct rounds and intervene to ensure appropriate patient care and satisfaction.
• Serve as patient advocate, clarifying ethical and legal issues and supporting cultural practices.
• Track staff turnover and take steps to reduce it.
• Maintain clinical competence by assisting with patient care and coaching staff.
• Collaborate with clinical nurse specialists/educators to plan and implement educational programs for all staff levels.
• Respond to grievances up to step‑two.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Washington Registered Nurse License on hire.
• National Provider BLS and NRP certifications on hire.
• At least one year of Labor and Delivery Nursing experience.
