Position Overview
Experienced Surgical Registered Nurse for the UW Medical Center – Montlake Main Operating Room.
Work Schedule- 100% FTE
- Ten and Twelve Hour Shifts
- All days available, Sunday – Saturday
- Depending on case schedule, start times
- Some call shifts required
The operating room team scrubs and circulates for complex surgical procedures including organ transplantation, cardiac surgery, endoscopic procedures, bone and joint allografting, neurosurgery, spinal procedures, and oncological procedures. Nurses participate in perioperative technology, research, education, and quality improvement.
Position Highlights- Circulate and scrub a variety of surgical cases.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners in a culture of teamwork.
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for surgical patients, including preparation of surgical site and equipment.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and managing patient needs, and monitoring patient recovery.
- Act as patient advocate, maintain a sterile environment, coordinate with the healthcare team, and provide patient education for recovery.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years current general OR nursing experience with circulating.
- Scrub experience desired but not required.
Pay Range: $45.59–$83.64 per hour.
Other compensation: $5.00/hr nights, $4.00/hr weekends, $3.00/hr evenings, $1.25/hr Nursing Certification, $1.00/hr BSN Premium.
