Manager Surgical Services RN - Operating Room

Overview

Swedish is seeking an experienced OR Manager to lead daily operations in the South Tower Surgery suite, a 10‑operating‑room surgical suite on the First Hill campus in downtown Seattle.

• Oversee daily operations of the South Tower Surgery department, ensuring adherence to practice standards, regulatory requirements, budgeting, and adequate coverage.
• Provide intra‑operative care for a range of procedures including same‑day and inpatient surgeries across specialties such as ENT, Gynae, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Pain Management, and Lithotripsy.
• Conduct assessment and problem‑solving for specific patient care issues, guiding patients through the entire surgical experience from pre‑op handoff to post‑op phases.
• Apply AORN standards and supervise patient care throughout inpatient, outpatient, medical, and surgical areas.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN). ADN holders must complete a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Washington Registered Nurse license upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• At least 3 years of recent management experience in a perioperative setting or extensive perioperative leadership experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.

Base pay range: $68.01 – $107.35 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
