Job Description
Perioperative Register NurseHarborview Medical Center invites applications for a Perioperative Register Nurse at our Outpatient Surgery Center. The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five‑operating‑room unit that serves the community with day‑time surgical procedures. The center opened its operating rooms in January 2026 and is expanding services in July 2026 to include Endo Spine, Gender‑Affirming, General Surgery, Urology, and Laser for burn patients.
WorkSchedule
- 90% Mon–Fri (3–12 days per week)
- Day Shift – 0530–1730, 0600–1800, or 0630–1830
- No holidays, weekends, or night hours
- No on‑call shifts

The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center provides daytime surgical procedures to patients who meet developed criteria. The center features 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and a sterile processing area. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities (Peri‑/Post‑Operative)
- Patient admission to the unit
- Patient teaching and discharge
- Administration of pre‑ and post‑operative medications
- Continuous patient pre‑ and post‑operative assessment
- Documentation in Epic
- Participation in quality improvement projects
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Two or more years of perioperative experience, pre‑op/PACU (Phase I and Phase II)
- Valid WA/MSL RN license to practice in the state of Washington
Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $84.47 hourly
Other Compensation: BSN or higher $1.00/hr, Certification pay $1.25/hr, relocation available, overtime pay
