American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring conscious/procedural sedation experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Endoscopy unit at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Float required within endoscopy procedural and pre/post areas
- Patient ratios: 1:1 in intake area, 1:1 in sedation area, and 1:2 in post-procedure area
- CRNAs are available for patients requiring MAC sedation
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 8:30–19:00 (shift start may adjust to 7:30–18:00 with advance notice)
- 1–2 weekend/holiday on-call shifts required per month
- Epic EMR required
- 13-week contract with potential for extension
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience required; ICU background highly preferred
- Conscious sedation and/or procedural sedation experience required
- Conscious sedation certification highly preferred
- Telemetry required — must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Experience in high-volume, high-acuity, teaching, and trauma facilities preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- At least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment required
- A Relias assessment will be administered as part of the process
- Candidate must be experienced and comfortable working in all three areas of the endoscopy unit (intake, sedation, and post-procedure)
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- RTO is not permitted during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum; no more than 6 days of RTO total
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former UW Health staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Scrubs are facility-provided as needed, or candidates may wear their own solid-color scrubs
- Onsite parking is available for a daily fee; offsite parking with a 10-minute shuttle service is also available weekdays 5:00 AM–10:00 PM
