RN3/Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), 2EH ICU (Nights) – Harborview Medical Center

This position reports to the Nurse Manager of the 2EH ICU and is responsible for assisting the manager in all aspects of hiring, educating and counseling nurses as well as being a role model for excellent patient care. The RN3 utilizes the nursing process to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate, and provide safe, therapeutic allocation of nursing resources to patients/families. Makes independent judgments and collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge.

• Assist the Nurse Manager with hiring, education, counseling and performance evaluation of ICU nurses.
• Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote quality nursing care, effective problem solving, communication, and professional development.
• Assume patient placement and preceptor responsibilities as assigned.
• Serve as a role model and provide guidance to other staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate continuity of patient care.

• Night Shift – Position may be filled at either 90% FTE (36 hours per week) or 100% FTE (40 hours per week).

• WA State RN license (or applicable multistate license).
• BSN degree.
• Minimum two years ICU RN work experience.

Pay Range Minimum: $49.23 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $91.22 hourly

Other Compensation: $1/hour BSN premium, $1.25/hour nursing certification premium, $5/hour nights, $4/hour weekends
