Job Description
Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3 for the ICU Resource Department at UW Medical Center–Montlake. 90% FTE, evenings and night shift, 36 hours per week.
Position Highlights- Assists with RN3 operational and leadership duties as applicable
- Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, RN3 peers, and ICU Resource Team staff
The Resource Team assistant nurse manager supports the nurse manager by developing, maintaining, and evaluating the ongoing operations of the Resource Team. The primary duty is to support and supervise the Critical Care Float Pool, with secondary responsibility and supervision of the STAT RN Program and Vascular Access Team.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment and staff selection for Resource Team employees (primarily ICU RNs and other roles)
- Collaborate with the Staff Development liaison and Critical Care educators/CNSs to develop individualized orientation plans for new employees
- Coordinate orientation schedules for new staff, including selection of units and assignment of shifts
- Assist with planning and implementation of continuing education programs for Resource Team staff
- Design and coordinate annual competency reviews for RN staff
- Provide feedback and guidance to staff; observe and review staff performance; identify individual capabilities; provide counseling, instruction, or additional experience as needed; consult with the nurse manager if further action is indicated
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid multistate license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN);
Master’s preferred
- Minimum of two years recent ICU experience or ICU Resource Team experience
- STAT RN experience, Charge RN experience
- Current ACLS certification
Pay Range
- Minimum: $49.23 hourly
- Maximum: $90.33 hourly
Other Compensation
- $5.00/hr night shift
- $3.00/hr evening shift
- $4.00/hr weekends
- $1.00/hr BSN Differential
- $1.25/hr Nursing Certification
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
