Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Schedule:
Posted every 6 weeks. Work every other weekend. On-call during holidays.
Assignment Details:
Average daily census: ~15. Approximate deliveries/month: 500–600. Orientation: 36 hours.
Requirements:
Active nursing license. BLS and NRP certifications required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required in a high-risk, high-volume environment. Clinical experience: 2 years in a high-acuity, high-pace environment. Preference for 5+ years of high-risk experience; consideration for 3+ years with strong high-risk exposure. Must pass clinical review; proof of NURSYS required ervisory references required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries. Circulate for C-sections and recover post-operative patients. Provide newborn care including resuscitation, assessment, and administration of required medications (e.g., Vitamin K, eye prophylaxis). Manage high-risk antepartum/intrapartum care and hemorrhage. Monitor and document fetal conditions using electronic fetal monitoring.
Compliance/Notes:
Must float to postpartum/antepartum as needed. Must wear designated scrubs as per facility policy.
