What you’ll do:- Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
- Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record.
- Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non‑compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification of any adverse reactions.
- Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly / disposing.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required.
- Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures.

- Current active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
- Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
