This position reports to the Nurse Manager of the 2EH ICU and is responsible for assisting the manager in all aspects of hiring, educating and counseling nurses in these areas as well as being a role model for excellent patient care.
Work Schedule
- Position may be filled at either 90% FTE (36 hours per week), or at 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Night Shift.

Summary
Under general direction, the professional nurse at the Registered Nurse III level utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate, and provide safe, therapeutic allocation of nursing resources to patients/families. Makes independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex staffing issues. Collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care.
The Registered Nurse III performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. As assigned by the Nurse Manager, assumes patient placement and preceptor responsibility. Provides leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others.
Serves as role model and provides guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance.
Requirements
Requires WA State (or applicable multistate) RN License, BSN degree, and minimum two years ICU RN work experience.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum: $49.23 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $91.22 hourly
Other Compensation: $1/hour BSN premium $1.25/hour nursing certification premium $5/hour nights $4/hour week-ends
