Job Description
UW Medical Centers has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team. The APP will provide exceptional, evidence‑based advanced practice medical care to high‑risk and well newborns and their families.
Education & Leadership- Support and educate residents
- Train and onboard new Advanced Practice Providers in neonatal care
- Collaborate with nursing leadership
- Promote professional development of Neonatal APPs
- Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Neonatal APPs
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist
- Function independently within scope of practice
- Ensure continuity of care for neonatal patients and families
- Bill for services rendered, as appropriate to role
- 90%
- Variable days and nights
- Current, valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
- Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License
- ARNP:
Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - PA:
National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP) - Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification
- Master’s degree from an accredited program
- Three or more years of experience as an NNP or PA in a Level III NICU
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
Minimum: $135,996 annual
Maximum: $206,556 annual
Other CompensationNight shift differential $4.50/hr, Evening shift differential $2.50/hr, Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr, Relocation available, Overtime eligible
