Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for regional oversight of clinical care and facility relationships, you will also round 2‑3 days a week at your own designated facility to care for patients who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical point of contact for all Providers in your region
- Clinical training to ensure all Providers display excellent clinical decision making and bedside manner
- Time shadowing each Provider in the region
- Regular clinical and facility meetings with facility staff
- Focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
- Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient‑specific needs.
- Supporting physiatrists on‑site and operating with a high level of autonomy
- Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry
This role is best suited for a self‑motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.
Qualifications- 5+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience
- Physiatry, Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation experience
- Comfort in performing ultrasound guided peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips)
- A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment
- Relationship and value proposition building with key stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in a clinical leadership or supervisory role
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region
- Hands‑on training in facility settings to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
- Stable schedule, with no weekends, nights or on‑call shifts.
