Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, skilled nursing services to patients requiring hospitalization, guiding them toward optimal health and functional recovery. Every day you will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and continuously monitor patient conditions. You will collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, always preparing patients and their families for a successful discharge, whether to home or to another setting for continued care.

To be successful you will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health provides a range of procedural specialty service lines. Some of our procedures include GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology lab. In this position the RN will be responsible for both Admit and recovery of patients undergoing these procedures.

The PACU nurses are also responsible for the management and evaluation of post anesthesia and postoperative complications including pain and nausea. The Registered Nurse in PACU holds the autonomy to determine readiness for discharge from PACU based on PACU scoring criteria.

Job Requirements
  • Current WA State RN license is required.
  • 1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for Common Spirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS & PALS certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Current experience in PACU & ICU is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with starting IV’s preferable
  • BSN or MSN preferred
Pay Range

$47.12 - $88.77 /hour
