**** UW Medical Center-Northwest - Endoscopy
** has an outstanding opportunity for a
** Per Diem Registered Nurse.
**** WORK SCHEDULE
*** Per diem schedule / variable hours per week
* 10 hours per shift
* Must be available to work day shifts, Monday-Friday
* Call shifts on nights and weekends are optional but not required
** ABOUT OUR ENDOSCOPY UNIT
*** This position will primarily work at our
** inpatient hospital endoscopy unit
** and will provide cross-coverage to our
** brand-new outpatient endoscopy suite**, both located in North Seattle
* We have 7 combined procedure rooms (4 outpatient, 3 inpatient)
* Inpatient RNs provide additional support for emergent and therapeutic endoscopies, and outpatient RNs provide procedural support for diagnostic and screening GI services

** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Assist providers during endoscopic procedures
* Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation
* Educate patients
* Administer medication
* Use and maintain endoscopic equipment
* Help manage emergencies and complications
* Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping
** REQUIREMENTS
* ** 1 year of recent endoscopic nursing experience
* BLS* Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

**** Pay Range Minimum:**$46.97 hourly
** Pay Range Maximum:**$86.17 hourly
** Other Compensation:
** BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour Certification premium - $1.25/hour Weekend premium - $4.00/hour Night premium - $5.00/hour Sunday night premium - $3.00/hour Overtime pay
