$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.
UW Medical Center-Northwest – Endoscopy has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our brand-new, state‑of‑the‑art outpatient suite.
About Our Endoscopy Unit- This position will work at our brand-new outpatient endoscopy suite in North Seattle.
- Our outpatient suite has 4 procedure rooms and 12 admit/recovery bays.
- RNs provide procedural support for diagnostic and screening GI services, including colonoscopies.
- Must be available to work 10 hour day shifts, Monday – Friday.
- RNs can work 3x10s or 4x10s.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide patient education and obtain informed consent prior to procedures.
- Assist with patient admission and phone triage.
- Assist providers during endoscopic procedures.
- Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation.
- Administer medication.
- Use and maintain endoscopic equipment.
- Help manage emergencies and complications.
- Document patient care and procedure details accurately in medical records.
- Provide post‑procedure care and patient discharge instructions.
- 2 years of recent procedural or gastroenterology nursing experience.
- Active BLS certification.
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 hourly.
Pay Range Maximum: $83.64 hourly.
Other Compensation: $10,000 Sign‑On Bonus (for eligible new employees); BSN (or higher) premium – $1.00/hour;
Certification premium – $1.25/hour;
Overtime pay.
