Overview
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing comprehensive health services to diverse communities, with a specialty in serving Latino populations in Washington State. This role is part of a mandatory COVID‑19 and flu vaccine organization and is open to candidates who meet the qualifications listed below.
Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric care and medication management for patients in outpatient behavioral health sites and medical clinics.
- Consult with behavioral health staff and medical clinic providers to review cases and recommend diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.
- Prescribe or dispense medication in accordance with Washington State Board prescriptive authority.
- Serve special patient groups such as those in nursing homes or other institutions when appropriate.
- Participate in clinical affairs and collaborate with the APP Residency Director, Medical/Clinical Director, and Chief Medical Officer to improve patient care.
- Fulfill all residency curriculum requirements as directed by the APP Residency Director.
- Attend required training sessions, evaluations, and quality improvement activities.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
- Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Active Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licenses.
- Successful completion of an accredited PMHNP program.
- National PMHNP certification through the AANPCB or ANCC.
- DEA certificate required if prescribing controlled substances.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintenance throughout employment.
- Knowledge and interest in Latino/Hispanic culture; bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred.
Pre‑hire and annual employee health screenings, including flu vaccination or an approved exemption (with mask compliance during flu season). Ability to lift 10–50 pounds, stand, walk and perform patient care duties. Reasonable accommodations available for qualified candidates with disabilities.
